ACCREDITED & FLEXIBLE PATHWAYS
The School of Engineering has a proud record of successfully delivering undergraduate course for over 40 years. These courses are at Levels 6, 7 and 8 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications and are respectively lead to Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree and Honours Degree awards.
The majority of students on our undergraduate courses are attending full-time. However the number of our part-time students is increasingly steadily as we offer our courses in more flexible ways. This includes the use of eLearning technologies as well as off-campus work-based and work-integrated learning approaches.
Our undergraduate student profile and student activity is also increasingly International. Approximately 15% of our current students are International and many Irish students travel to other countries during their studies via the EU Erasmus scheme or for their Industrial Placement.
We work closely with relevant Irish and International Professional Institutions and Associations in the development and delivery of our undergraduate courses. This is to ensure that our courses and programmes are at the required national and international standards and that graduates have employment options at home and abroad.
