Here are 24 academic staff in the Department of Nursing & Health Care, many of whom are actively involved in research and clinical services. Indeed, our relationship with clinical services is the cornerstone for delivering high quality, clinically relevant education at undergraduate and post graduate level. These partnerships also underpins the research agenda and activity within the Department.
The Department is student centred, perhaps best epitomised by the fact that most of the academic staff are qualified in multiple intelligence teaching and assessing approaches. Academic staff use a wide variety of teaching methods to integrate theory, research and practice with the specific learning styles of individual students on our programmes.
A further important aspect to this focus on the student is that all undergraduate and post graduate students within the Department of Nursing & Health Care are allocated a personal study advisor from amongst the academic staff.
