At the Department of Sport & Exercise Science (DSES), we pride ourselves on offering an applied real-world education that produces experienced, independent thinking and ambitious graduates, setting us apart from the competition.
We also believe that the best way to find out about the “DSES experience” is to come and try it out for yourself!
Our “Try Sport” Open Day aimed at all second level and PLC students interested in pursuing a career in sport does exactly that. This one-day taster course will provide you with a unique opportunity to test the DSES experience for yourself, giving you confidence in your CAO choice.
The event will be hosted in our state of the art teaching and training facilities in the SETU Waterford Arena.
TRY Sport at SETU Waterford will give you the opportunity to live the life of a student in the DSES, meet our expert staff and try out exciting and interactive sessions in strength & conditioning, biomechanics, nutrition and sport.
Participants will get an opportunity to talk with current students in the DSES who will share their insights into the department, courses and and life in WIT. Information will also be presented about the varied opportunities that exist for students upon graduation.
