Our undergraduate programmes are offered over a range of discipline areas that include Law, Criminal Justice and Legal Studies and are delivered within a supportive, student-centred, learning environment. We equip you with the core attributes required of the legal graduate, developing your critical thinking, problem-solving, research, and legal writing skills. We ensure you gain an appreciation of the role of the law and criminal justice systems in everyday social, economic, and cultural life. Your studies will take you far beyond the traditional curriculum where we offer you critical insights from a range of other disciplines, such as business, politics, psychology, social policy and sociology.
Our LL.B. Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and the BA (Hons) in Legal Studies with Business programmes are approved degrees by the Honorable Society of Kings Inns. On graduation you are also eligible to sit the FE1 entrance examinations for the Law Society.
The BA (Hons) in Criminal Justice Studies offers a practice placement where student learn to integrate theory and practice in an industry setting. There are ‘study abroad’ opportunities offered on this programme and students will work alongside international students who choose to join us at the Department of Law & Criminal Justice.
Graduates may continue their studies with us, to Masters and Doctorate level, and we have a proven track record in research activity and publications in Law and Criminal Justice.
