SETU Waterford irun one day HEA-funded computing camps for TY and 5th year students periodically and the next camps are in early June 2019. The students will gain some experience with computing disciplines, such as building a machine, operating systems, coding and applications. All of the exercises will be under the expert guidance of an experienced team of lecturers.
No experience is necessary for the course. In fact, the ideal student will be someone who knows very little about computing but is curious to learn.
Places are limited to students who are currently in TY or 5th year (sitting the Leaving Certificate in 2020 or 2021) and every effort will be made to ensure that there is a balance of student from both a schools and gender perspective.
Applications can be made online below, applicants will be notified on Friday 26th October by email as to whether they have been offered a place on the camp.
The deadline for applications is midday on Thursday, 25th October 2018.
